Introduction

At last the “2 mysteries” hidden for more than two millennia are now uncovered by "divine revelation", and these are for the "salvation of the soul".

For serious Bible readers, let us recognize how the words of GOD are expressed:

God speaks “parables”

Psa 78:2  I will open my mouth in a PARABLE: I will utter dark sayings of old

Eze 20:49  Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he not speak PARABLES?

So is Jesus Christ

Mar 4:34  But without a PARABLE spake he not unto them: and when they were ALONE, he expounded all things to HIS DISCIPLES.

THE SIN OF EVE
First mystery

We hear it is “sex between EVE and ADAM”, but the most popular is “DISOBEDIENCE”. To assume this is the offense, “SIN” cannot be inherited for it is nontransferable.

Ezek 18:20  The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Deu 24:16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

“Garden”symbolizes EVE

Songs 4:12  A GARDEN inclosed is my SISTER, [female] my spouse [Adam]; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.

Reflection:

Actually there are 3 kinds of “trees” in the GARDEN (EVE):

Gen 2:9  And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every (1) tree that is pleasant to the

sight, and good for food; the (2) tree of LIFE also in the midst of the garden, and the (3) TREE OF

KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL.

Since GARDEN symbolizes EVE [mankind] these are our components:

1.  Our BODY

2.  SPIRIT of GOD (upon creation)

3. Our SOUL (HUMAN WISDOM / intellect and feeling) to distinguish us from animals.

Gen 2:16  And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

Gen 2:17  But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely DIE.

The “serpent’s” temptation:

Gen 3:1 Now the serpent [Satan] … said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every

tree of the garden?

Gen 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst (SOUL) of the GARDEN God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye DIE.

Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall NOT surely die:

Gen 3:5  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your EYES SHALL BE OPENED [for what?], and ye shall be as gods, KNOWING GOOD AND EVIL  [clearly this must be man’s standard of good and evil].

Gen 3:6  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired TO MAKE ONE WISE, she took of the fruit thereof, and DID EAT, and gave also unto her husband [Adam] with her; and he did eat.

For EVE to eat the tree of “KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL” means forming “own STANDARD OF GOOD AND EVIL”, apart from GOD’S standard!

God gave us “HUMAN WISDOM or intelligence” for our “PHYSICAL life”. He gave us the example of the ANTS as rebuke for not appreciating this “God given wisdom” (Prov 30:25, Prov 6:6-15)

For emphasis:

The “serpent” actually Satan or Devil was himself a victim for this “temptation”; now very clear, “misery loves company”.

EVE (everybody) fell into temptation by using “HUMAN WISDOM” on “spiritual matters”. The penalty is “DEATH”! EVE ate the forbidden tree of “KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL”.

But EVE (people) remain ALIVE as the “serpent” promised; as if GOD is untruthful to His promise of “DEATH” to Eve!  However, GOD will always be true to His promise, and EVE (people) DIED, different from man’s understanding. Who can accept this truth?

Prov 21:16  The man that wandereth OUT OF THE WAY OF UNDERSTANDING shall remain in the congregation of the DEAD.

Perhaps this truth will open our eyes to Jesus Christ miracle “raising up Lazarus who was dead for 4 days”. This simply means Lazarus was restored to him the “SPIRIT of God”. This also is the significance of being “BORN AGAIN”, the very attractive preaching of some sects (but of different perspective).

Now who can accept all people are “spiritually DEAD” in the eyes of our Lord for “not understanding His words that are expressed in “parables”. Of course people will reject this because of the dictate of the INTELLECT and FEELING or “human wisdom”.

We will be surprised when we read the following as if GOD confirmed the “serpent’s promise to EVE”:

Gen 3:22  And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the TREE OF LIFE, and eat, and live for ever:

Gen 3:24  So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the TREE OF LIFE.

This is now the condition of MAN in the eyes of God no matter how he does “still comes short of the glory of God”:

Rom 10:2  For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but NOT ACCORDING TO KNOWLEDGE.

Rom 10:3  For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness [MAN’S STANDARD], have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

How can we attain “salvation” with this condition in our life? Hence, the need to unravel the “Second Mystery”. Let us listen to our Lord:

1 Cor 1:19  I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20  Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

1 Cor 1:21  For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom KNEW NOT GOD.

GOD’S IDENTITY
(Second Mystery)

Very clear, therefore, with “HUMAN WISDOM” never can we identify GOD, the “True CHRIST”!

No wonder what we hear from CHRISTIANITY TODAY composed of sects and denominations have the following “identities of Jesus Christ”:

·       “Jesus Christ” is only a MAN and not God

·       “Jesus Christ” is only a “mighty God” for Jehovah the “Almighty God”

·       “JESUS CHRIST” is the name of God (Oneness doctrine)

·       “Jesus Christ” is the 2^nd person of the Trinity

The question that Preachers hate to hear is the “identity of GOD”. And so, to discourage inquisitiveness here is their answer, “with the finite mind of man, it is impossible to identify the infinite God”; to do so, “then we will be like HIM already”. Therefore, let GOD identify Himself:

GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob declaring:

Isa 43:10  Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I AM HE: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Isa 43:11  I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

JESUS CHRIST warns:

Joh 8:24  I said therefore unto you, that YE SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS: for if ye believe not that I AM HE, ye shall die in your sins.

CHRIST Apostles/Disciples asserting:

Mat 1:23  Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, GOD WITH US.

Luk 2:11  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a SAVIOUR, which is CHRIST the Lord.

1 John 5:20  And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son JESUS CHRIST. This is the TRUE GOD, and eternal life (which role of JESUS CHRIST?).

From the foregoing very clear GOD had to “manifest Himself in the flesh” due to the “Sin of EVE” that needs “His redemption” (Gen 17:7). Therefore, the spirit GOD made a “covenant or testament of salvation” binding Himself with the following condition:

Heb 9:16  For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the DEATH of the testator.

Heb 9:17  For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

Hence, for GOD to execute His testament, we  read:

1 Tim 3:16  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels…

Note: In later translations, the word “GOD” was changed to “he” and in others it is “omitted”.

GOD fulfilled this through Virgin Mary, simply as surrogate mother for never did He use her “ovum”. Otherwise, the “fetus” would have been tainted with “sin”. That is why on several occasions JESUS simply called her “woman”. Now, GOD in the flesh as JESUS was born, “the shepherds and the wise men from the east worshiped HIM”. Very clear JESUS is the GOD for HE alone deserves worship!

However, for JESUS to complete His “plan for salvation” He had to assume “His secondary role as Son of GOD” to be a model in “spiritual humility” to the “chosen few”. Hence,

Rom 8:29  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

This was demonstrated when Jesus was twelve years old, and Joseph and Mary searched for Him for 3 days (Luk 2:42-45):

Luk 2:46  And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.

Luk 2:47  And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.

Here, very clear JESUS was in His role as “Son of God”.

Perhaps now we realize how important are the two roles of Jesus Christ.

Joh 10:30  I and my Father are one (in one body).

(This two roles are clearly demonstrated. A certain person is the HUSBAND of his wife and the FATHER of his children. These two roles cannot be at the same time, but one at a time.)

We read these two roles in many occasions: GOD in the person of JESUS CHRIST.

Joh 5:19  Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

Since Old Testament this has been demonstrated. This is unbelievable!

Isa 28:9  Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

Note: The punctuation mark is {.} indicating this is impossible. Therefore, in the new translations this is changed to [?].

Isaiah 28:9 New International Version (NIV) “Who is it he is trying to teach? To whom is he explaining his message? To children weaned from their milk, to those just taken from the breast?

Jesus Christ confirmed the punctuation mark it should really be (.)

Mat 18:3  Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

This two roles of Jesus Christ are hard to comprehend with “human wisdom”. This is demonstrated when Jesus prayed in the garden of Gethsemane.

Mat 26:37  And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

Mat 26:38  Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

Mat 26:39  And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless NOT AS I WILL, BUT AS THOU WILT.

Mat 26:42  He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, THY WILL BE DONE.

Who would not think the “agony of JESUS refers to His crucifixion on the cross”? The answer is NO! It is Jesus in His role as “Son of God” our model in HUMILITY. This is too much for Him to “carry the BURDEN His brethren (the chosen) as required to do”. Now we realize the “fundamental requirement for salvation is HUMILITY”!

Taking the “letter” of the word this is what we read:

Mat 27:45  Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

Mat 27:46  And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, MY GOD, MY GOD, why hast thou forsaken me?

Luk 23:44  And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

Luk 23:45  And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

Luk 23:46  And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, FATHER INTO THY HANDS I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Relying on the “letter” literal word, who would not think that JESUS the “Son of God” is dying on the cross. But this is not the condition for the “testament of salvation” of Father God. It must the “FATHER the testator”, let us read:

Heb 9:16  For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the DEATH of the TESTATOR.

Heb 9:17  For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

The foregoing seemingly ambiguity is resolved when we listen to Paul the leading apostle of Christ:

Gal 2:20  I AM CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Paul actually was referring the following:

1 Cor 15:31  I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I DIE DAILY.

This is another spiritual meaning of “death”, that kind our Lord wants us to do. This means “death of our “old human nature”.

Very clear PAUL was never crucified on the cross! Now here are the 3 kinds of “death”:

1. “Death” of the body      that is bound to the cemetery.
2. “Death” as discussed,      “out of the way of understanding (Prov 21:16).
3. “Death” of our “old      human nature” that our Lord wants us to do.

Now we realized the intended message of God is the “SPIRITUAL” and not the “literal”. Can we now connect this with the “Sin of EVE”? Here are the verses:

2 Cor 3:6  Who also hath made us able ministers of the NEW TESTAMENT not of the LETTER (literal), but of the SPIRIT (spiritual): for the letter KILLETH, but the spirit GIVETH LIFE.

2 CoR 4:18  While we look not at the things which are SEEN, but at the things which are NOT SEEN: for the things which are SEEN ARE TEMPORAL; but the things which are NOT SEEN ARE ETERNAL.

By the way, after JESUS CHRIST fulfilled the “testament of salvation”, we hear Him say:

Joh 14:18  I will not leave you COMFORTLESS: I will come to you.

And so, at Pentecost, Jesus Christ as COMFORTER was, and is now known as the HOLY SPIRIT!

Can we now identify His roles in the following?

Joh 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I AM the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE: no man cometh unto the FATHER, but by ME.

Finally,

1 John 2:27  But the ANOINTING which ye have received of HIM abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, YE SHALL ABIDE IN HIM.
