"Behold, I was shapen in iniquity;
and in sin did my mother conceive me."
PSALM 51:5

In another article, God through His words explained the spiritual sin of Adam and Eve, but it has not clearly answered the all the important question on "original sin." ( http://www.purechristianity.org/sinofeve.htm ). For indeed, how could the "sin of the parents be transferred on inherited by the children?"

Ezek. 18:20 "… The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. "

Deu 24:16 The fathers shall not be puttodeath for the children, neither shall the children be puttodeath for the fathers: every man shall be puttodeath for his own sin.

Therefore God needs to reveal the physical aspect of the sin to answer the question. Since Adam and Eve lived physically, it is written that they have committed a physical sin. This physical sin has spiritual message that augments the revelation of some divine truths. As in the spiritual sin, the physical sin is brought to light through the Word. It cannot be unlocked with the wisdom of man. God's relationship with man, both male and female (Gal. 3:28 ), is that of a "husband and wife."

Jer. 3:14 " Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you… "

Isaiah 54:5 " For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts…"

Since Satan cannot counterfeit the SPIRITUAL relationship, he therefore "passed through the PHYSICAL door" of counterfeiting the union. God gave Satan certain limited power as in converting the rods of the wise men of Pharaoh into serpents:

Exo. 7:11 "Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt , they also did in like manner with their enchantments. 12For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents…"

With this power, Satan turned himself into a counterfeit " man." God reveals this when He said:

Ezekiel 28:13 " Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering… 14Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God…"

Ezekiel 28:2 " …Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God…"

All this is with the permissive will of God, for everything is needed to accomplish His plan of salvation to those who will believe. God's prerogative is based on His foreknowledge with His omniscience.

Isaiah 45:7 " I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."

Here is how God directs us in reading the Holy Bible:

Isa. 28:10 “ For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. ”

CLUES TO THE PHYSICAL SIN OF EVE

The Bible gives us at least TEN (10) clues leading to the revelation of this physical sin of Eve:

FIRST - Why did David write that man is conceived in sin right in the womb of the mother?

PSALM 51:5 "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me."

SECOND - Why does the Bible refer to Eve as "the mother of all living," instead of Adam being referred to as the father of all living?

GENESIS 3:20 "...wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living."

Is not the genealogy of a Bible character traceable to the father as shown in the genealogy of Joseph, the husband of Mary?

LUKE 3:23-38 "...JOSEPH, which was the son of Heli, which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi...which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam..."

Is it not that the bloodline comes from the father, because it is the sperm of the husband that shows the evidence to life instead of the egg of the mother? Then why are "all living" traced from Eve instead of from Adam?

THIRD - In tracing the genealogy of Joseph, the husband of Mary, from whom Jesus' own genealogy is associated, why can't we find the name CAIN, supposed to be the first-born son of Eve?

LUKE 3:23-38 "And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of JOSEPH, which was the son of HELI...which was the son of DAVID, which was the son of JESSE, which was the son of OBED, which was the son of BOAZ...which was the son of CAINAN, which was the son of ARPHAXAD, which was the son of SHEM, which was the son of NOAH, which was the son of LAMECH, which was the son of METHUSELAH, which was the son of ENOCH, which was the son of JARED, which was the son of MAHALALEEL, which was the son of CAINAN, which was the son of ENOSH, which was the son of SETH, which was the son of ADAM, which was the son of God."

FOURTH - Why did God put a curse on the conception and child bearing on the woman -- after the fall?

GENESIS 3:16 "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy concepcion; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and the desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

FIFTH - Why did God put enmity between the seed of Eve and the seed of the serpent? To whom does the "seed of Eve" refer? Who is the "seed of the serpent?"

GENESIS 3:15 "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

SIXTH - Why does the Bible count only seven (7) generations from ADAM to ENOCH, when it should have been eight (8) if Cain were included?

JUDE 14 "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints."

SEVENTH - Why did CANAAN , son of HAM, receive the curse of NOAH instead of HAM, the son of Noah, who was the one who actually committed sin against his father? HAM looked at NOAH'S nakedness.

GENESIS 9:18-19 "And the sons of NOAH, that went forth of the ark, were SHEM, and HAM, and JAPETH: and HAM is the father of CANAAN. These are the three sons of NOAH: and of them was the whole earth overspread.

GENESIS 9:20-25 "And Noah began to be a husbandman, and he planted a vineyard; and he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham, the father of CANAAN , saw the nakedness of his father...and Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. And he said, Curse be CANAAN; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren."

Is not this act of NOAH in cursing CANAAN , the son of HAM, in contradiction to the following verse? Ham was the sinner. Why was CANAAN cursed? What was the reason behind the curse? Could there be a contradiction in the Word of God?

EZEKIEL 18:20 "...the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father...the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him."

DEUTERONOMY 24:16 "...every man shall be put to death for his own sin."

EIGHTH - Why did John the Apostle write "CAIN was of the wicked one?" Who is the wicked one? How does the Holy Bible explain, "is of the wicked one?"

1 JOHN 3:12 "Not as Cain, who was of the wicked one..."

NINTH - Why did Jesus Christ call His listeners, the people: “sons of the Devil?”

JOHN 8:44 "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do..."

TENTH - Did not Jesus Christ say that man should get rid of the part of the body that is causing him to commit sin? Why did Adam and Eve become conscious of their naked bodies, instead of their mouths after "eating" the forbidden fruit?

MATTHEW 18:8-9 "Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire."

GENESIS 3:7 "And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leves together, and made themselves aprons."

BACKGROUNDER FOR THE PHYSICAL SIN

Man is God's greatest creation. That is why he was created in His image.

GENESIS 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, and in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."

This image of the invisible God is Jesus Christ, a physical being.

COLOSSIANS 1:14-15 "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: who is the image of the invisble God..."

HEBREW 1:3 "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person..."

Man, therefore, was closely identified with God. Lucifer, who became Satan because of sin, as expected, envied this God and man relationship. The Devil's scheme was hatched with the objective: to win man from God by imitating this "relationship" with man. Satan, a super-being like God, is capable of working wonders or counterfeit miracles. If the rods of the sorcerers of Pharaoh through the power of Satan could be transformed into serpents, can he not turn himself into a SERPENT, symbolic of worldly men as Jesus Christ told His Disciples?

MATTHEW 10:16 " Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. "

Satan was in the form of a "man."

Ezekiel 28:2 " … Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God…"

Satan also known as the Serpent began to crawl only after God cursed him.

GENESIS 3:14 "And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all…and… every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go..."

To achieve his plan, Satan had to make himself more attractive and intelligent than any higher form of animals, and now in the form of a "man."

GENESIS 3:1 "Now the SERPENT was more subtile than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made..."

So, that was the physical image of SATAN -- a "man!" He could talk and reason like a man. Satan transformed himself into a very attractive "physical being," counterfeiting the image of God in the person of Jesus Christ, a physical being. How perfectly this physical image of Satan matches the spiritual, that "he has deceived the whole world."

2 CORINTHIANS 11:14 "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."

REVELATION 12:9 "...that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world..."

GREAT SYMBOLISMS: The following is rationalized through the Word of God:

• ADAM and EVE - for the HUSBAND and the WIFE
• HUSBAND and WIFE - for JESUS CHRIST and the CHURCH

EPHESIANS 5:22-23 "WIFE, submit yourselves unto your own HUSBANDS, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as CHRIST is the head of the CHURCH..."

ISAIAH 54:5 "For thy Maker is thine husband is your Creator, whose name is the Lord of hosts..."

JEREMIAH 3:14 "Return, O faithless children, declares the Lord; for I am married unto you..."

• JESUS CHRIST - for Adam; that is why He is referred to as the 2nd or the last Adam.

1 CORINTHIANS 15:45 "And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam (referring to Jesus Christ) was made a quickening spirit.

• THE CHURCH - in the narrower sense is composed of the real people of God: the spiritual EVE. In the broader sense, EVE and the Church refer to the people.

Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit.

MATTHEW 1:18 "...she was found with child of the Holy Ghost."

Adam was a direct creation of God. Both Adam and Jesus Christ are called sons of God.

LUKE 3:38 "...Adam, the son of God."

Eve was taken from the "side" of Adam:

GENESIS 2:21-23 "And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept; and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof. And the rib which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh, she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. "

So is the CHURCH, the spiritual woman, was taken from the "side" of the spiritual Adam, JESUS CHRIST. Deep sleep for Adam was equivalent to the death of our Lord.

1 CORINTHIANS 15:20 "...Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept."

EPHESIANS 5:14 "...awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead..."

This took place when Jesus was hanging on the cross and the soldier pierced His body with a spear. "Water and blood" came out from His side.

JOHN 19:34 "But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water."

Are not people of God made worthy of the kingdom of God by virtue of "water and blood?"

JOHN 3:5 "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of WATER and of the SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God ."

Jesus Christ showing the Way “came by water and blood.”

1 John 5:6 “ This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. ”

WATER symbolizes the Word of God.

EPHESIANS 5:26 "That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of WATER by the WORD."

BLOOD represents the Holy Spirit for by the shedding of blood on the cross the Testament of God was fulfilled, and the HOLY SPIRIT was made available to the real believers.

JOHN 7:39 "But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified."

Through the Word of God, the spiritual "water," and the Holy Spirit represented by spiritual "blood," people become children of God also. They compose the Church and spiritually "derived" from the "side" of JESUS CHRIST, the second Adam, as physical Eve was taken from the side of Adam. After having seen the "perfect matching" of Adam and Eve with Jesus Christ and the Church, the Bible now leads us to the physical sin and its spiritual equivalent.

THE GREAT COUNTERFEIT

The relationship between God and His chosen people is that of a HUSBAND and WIFE:

Isaiah 54:5 "For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called."

Jeremiah 3:14 "Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion :"

Satan cannot counterfeit this spiritual relationship. He therefore passed through the “physical door” of counterfeiting this spiritual relationship.

THE PHYSICAL SIN - HOW IT WAS COMMITTED

From the TEN CLUES presented in the Bible, together with the spiritual circumstances perfectly agreeing with actual events, the physical sin of Eve is finally revealed. Referring now to the SECOND CLUE, there is reason for God to say: "Eve was the mother of all living" instead of Adam. This is because not "all the living" came from Adam, while "all the living," as a matter of fact, came from Eve! The natural man cannot see this.

A clue to the clue is: why were there three (3) sons born to Eve from only two (2) references to "carnal knowledge" with Adam?

GENESIS 4:1-2 " And Adam knew Eve his wife [ this is the first reference to "carnal knowledge"]; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord. And she again bare his brother Abel..."

GENESIS 4:25 " And Adam knew his wife again [this is the second reference to "carnal knowledge"] ; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth..."

Several things relate to the foregoing verses:

1. It is clear that Adam "knew his wife only once" and Eve bore Cain and Abel. Compare this with Gen. 4:25, which states that Adam "knew his wife again" and she bore only one son, Seth.

2. Correlating the facts presented, Cain who "was of the wicked one," was the son of Eve, but never the son of Adam! This explains "Eve was the mother of all living" instead of Adam the father of all living. The conclusion becomes hazy to the natural man with the statement of Eve, "I have gotten a man from the Lord," upon the birth of Cain. But the prophets Isaiah and Amos will clear the matter later.

3. It is now clear that "the wicked one" referred to is actually the SERPENT!

1 JOHN 3:12 " Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. "

It is Satan, "the dragon, that old serpent, called Devil" (Rev. 12:9) the great deceiver of the world. This is supported by the characterization of the serpent as an entity as "man."

Ezekiel 28:2-3 "Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas ; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God."

Ezekiel 28:13 " Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God ; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond...”

The serpent was not the small crawling snake that man sees today. The serpent was not an ordinary animal, but a creation of "another super-being" who is capable of working wonders and counterfeit miracles.

2 Thes. 2:9 "Even him…the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders."

4. The forbidden fruit now takes another meaning. While Eve was alone and "waiting for Adam" the serpent succeeded in tempting Eve to taste the "forbidden "fruit."

GENESIS 3:6 "And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat."

The forbidden fruit comes from the tree "in the middle of the garden:"

GENESIS 2:9 "And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil."

Since God is speaking in parables, "garden" is given a spiritual meaning:

EZEKIEL 20:49 " Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he not speak parables?"
SONG OF SOLOMON 4:12 "A garden inclosed is my... spouse..."

SONG OF SOLOMON 4:11 "Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb: honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garment is like the smell of Lebanon ."

A woman is symbolized by a garden. What was forbidden is "something in the midst of the garden." Now it is understandable why Eve did not cover her mouth, supposedly the part causing her to sin, but her naked BODY - for it was her body that was submitted to the SERPENT.

MATTHEW 18:8 "Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire."

The TENTH CLUE is clearly taken here.

GENESIS 3:7 "And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were Naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons."

5. It should be noted that God did not forbid Adam and Eve to have carnal knowledge with each other for, as husband and wife, He commanded them to "be fruitful and multiply" before they ate the forbidden fruit.

GENESIS 1:28 " And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth… "

6. One will now wonder on the condition of the birth of Cain, the "son of the evil one." As stated in GENESIS 4:1-2, Adam had carnal knowledge with his wife only once, but Eve gave birth to two sons, Cain and Abel. Cain and Abel were actually twins who were conceived on two different times by two different "male" partners, the Serpent and Adam! This biological phenomenon of conceptions is scientifically established. A woman may produce two eggs at intervals and be separately fertilized. This is called superfetation, or double pregnancy. In fact there are several cases of this type of pregnancy reported all over the world. And there are even court cases involving the birth of twins, scientifically tested as coming from different fathers. Court records in France , Germany , and Norway attest to the birth of white and black twins, the result of indiscretion of the wife having an affair with a black man.

7. Cain was never the son of Adam; that is why John wrote, "he is of the wicked one." This is attested to by the genealogy of Joseph, the husband of Mary, which omitted Cain, thus giving credence to the THIRD CLUE.

8. Jude received the revelation about this truth when he wrote ENOCH was really the seventh (7th) generation from Adam.

JUDE 14 "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam..."

This is the actual account:

• GENESIS 5:1 - ADAM, the 1st generation
• GENESIS 5:3 - SETH, the 2nd generation
• GENESIS 5:6 - ENOSH, the 3rd generation
• GENESIS 5:9 - CAINAN, the 4th generation  
• GENESIS 5:13 - MAHALALEEL, the 5th generation
• GENESIS 5:15 - JARED, the 6th generation  
• GENESIS 5:18 - ENOCH, the 7th generation

Abel was excluded in the count because he did not bear any offspring. Nowhere in the genealogy can we find the generation of CAIN, for he did not really come from Adam. Cain was the son of the Serpent!

9. Now it is understandable why God put a curse on conception and child bearing of women, because of the nature of the physical sin of Eve. How this sin "transferred" to all women will be discussed later.

GENESIS 3:16 "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy concepcion; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

10. The "enmity between thy seed and her seed" is now confirmed physically. The seed of the SERPENT was CAIN, who envied and finally murdered ABEL, the "real seed" of Eve with Adam.

GENESIS 3:15 " And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. "

Spiritually, the woman refers to Mary, the wife of Joseph, who gave birth to JESUS. The seed of the serpent refers to evil or wickedness that demonstrated intense enmity against Jesus Christ. "It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel" was fulfilled when the Devil, through the people, succeeded in crucifying Jesus Christ on the cross. The "head" of the Devil was "bruised" at the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. A deeper spiritual meaning is reserved later.

"I HAVE GOTTEN A MAN FROM THE LORD"

When Eve gave birth to Cain, she exclaimed:

GENESIS 4:1-2 "...and she conceived, and bare CAIN, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord..."

To take this literally, Cain came from the Lord and must have been a son of God. But note that the situation is reversed. Eve did not declare this when she gave birth to Abel and Seth. Let the Bible now explain, "I have gotten a man from the Lord." It is written, "everything came" from God:

ISAIAH 45:7 "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things."

AMOS 3:6 "Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?"

Using the literal language of the Serpent, God appears to be even worse than Satan. That is how atheists and agnostics try to refute the goodness of God, and Satanists justify their worship of the Devil using the Bible as basis. Yes, "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."

JOHN 1:3 " All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. "

COLOSSIANS 1:16 "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth...whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers, all things were created by him, and for him."

God created Lucifer, a perfect and righteous angel.

EZEKIEL 28:11-15 "Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him. Thus saith the Lord God; Thou…full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold...thou art the anointed CHERUB...thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee."

Because of sin, Lucifer turned himself into SATAN and became the archenemy of God.

EZEKIEL 28:2-3 "Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord God; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a god, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God: behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee."

Satan was not a creation of God but himself through his wickedness. Of course this is with the permissive will of God! Do people see that ultimately everything will be for the glory of God? Did the Devil know that when he instigated the Jews to crucify Jesus Christ on the cross, "all these things were `created' or made possible by Him, and for Him?" Who had the last laugh at the death of Jesus Christ on the cross? God or Satan? With the death of Jesus on the cross, the TESTAMENT of salvation was fulfilled through the availability of the Holy Spirit to those who believe.

THE PURE DESCENDANTS OF ADAM

The blood of the Serpent "adulterating" the whole of mankind is deduced from the SEVENTH CLUE. It was HAM, son of Noah, who saw his father's nakedness. As to why CANAAN , the son of Ham, was the one cursed by Noah, the answer will lead to the revelation of the "adulteration of the blood" of the direct descendants of Adam with the "blood of Cain." By this time, it must have been clear to the reader that there were then "two kinds of blood" in the offspring of EVE, the blood of the Serpent on the descendants of CAIN, and the blood of Adam in his descendants.

GENESIS 9:18 " And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan . 19These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread. 20And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: 21And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. 22And Ham, the father of Canaan , saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. 23And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness. 24And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. 25And he said, Cursed be Canaan ; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. "

By tracing the "blood" of ADAM through his descendants, the Bible systematically reconstructs how the whole of the human race was "infected" with the blood of CAIN. The "sons of God" can be traced through the pure bloodline of ADAM from generation to generation.

LUKE 3:38 "...which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God."

The following shows the bloodline of ADAM up to NOAH:

1st GENERATION - ADAM

GENESIS 2:7 "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living Soul."

2nd GENERATION - SETH ( ABEL was excluded because he did not bear any offspring. Seth was a real son of Adam. By inference Seth married his sister, as Adam and Eve bore many children. Seth begat Enosh.)

GENESIS 5:4 "And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters."

3rd GENERATION - ENOSH (Enosh married a descendant of Adam and begat Cainan.)

GENESIS 5:9 "And Enosh lived ninety years, and begat Cainan."

4th GENERATION - CAINAN (Cainan married a descendant of Adam and begat Mahalaleel.)

GENESIS 5:12 "And Cainan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalaleel."

5th GENERATION - MAHALALEEL (Mahalaleel married a descendant of Adam and begat Jared.)

GENESIS 5:15 "And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared."

6th GENERATION - JARED (Jared married a descendant of Adam and begat Enoch.)

GENESIS 5:18 "And Jared lived a hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch."

7th GENERATION - ENOCH (Enoch married a descendant of Adam and begat Methuselah.)

GENESIS 5:21 "And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah."

8th GENERATION - METHUSELAH (Methuselah married a descendant of Adam and begat Lamech.)

GENESIS 5:25 "And Methuselah lived a hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech."

9th GENERATION - LAMECH (Lamech married a descendant of Adam and begat NOAH.)

GENESIS 5:28-29 "And Lamech lived a hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: and he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed."

10th GENERATION - NOAH (Noah married a WOMAN by whom he had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Whose descendant was Mrs. Noah?)

THE LIFE OF CAIN

In the meantime, CAIN was banished and lived in the land of Nod , on the east of Eden .

GENESIS 4:16 "And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the landof Nod , on the east of Eden ."

However, Cain was protected by God for He had a plan for him.

GENESIS 4:14-15 "Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me. And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him."

Now "God creating evil and darkness" is even made clearer. But everything will be for His glory. The natural man simply cannot accept this. As the descendants of Adam multiplied; CAIN, the son of the Serpent, also had his own progeny by marrying one of the daughters of Adam and Eve:

GENESIS 4:17-24 "And CAIN knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son, Enoch. And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech. And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle. And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ. And Zillah, she also bare Tubal-cain, an instructor of every artificer in brass and iron: and tbe sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah. And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt. If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold."

THE PURE DESCENDANTS OF CAIN

Some points on the life and the descendants of CAIN:

1. Take note of the names of the descendants of Cain. They are copied from some of the names of the descendants of Adam; among them were ENOCH and LAMECH. Others sounded like the names of the offspring of Adam, among them were MEHUJAEL for Methusael, METHUSAEL for Methuselah, and IRAD for Jared. Cain, the son of the Devil, made true his father's character that of a great counterfeiter.

2. Bigamy was introduced by LAMECH, a descendant of Cain, by marrying two wives, Adah and Zillah. To Lamech could also be traced the wickedness of hatred, vengeance, and murder. Jesus Christ reminded His listeners to this in John 8:44.

GENESIS 4:23 "And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, hear my voice...I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt."

However, God protected the life of Lamech, an evil man, as He protected the life of Cain.

GENESIS 4:24 "If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold."

God's act had something to do with His plan for salvation. Does this not make true, "I make peace and create evil; I the Lord do all these things." And "shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?" Evil prospers with the permissive will of God for this works according to His plan.

ISAIAH 45:7 " I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. "

AMOS 3:6 " Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? 7Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. "

"THINGS OF THE WORLD" FOR THE DESCENDANTS OF CAIN

The Bible records things identified with the descendants of Cain, not otherwise found among the descendants of Adam. Among them are:

1. Cain built a city, which he called Enoch. Cain was a city builder, an "empire" builder.

Genesis 4:17 " And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. "

This brings to mind the building of the tower of Babel . "Aiming to the sky" suggests the quest for the "godly pride" as Lucifer did.

EZEKIEL 28:2 "...because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a god, I sit in the seat of God..."

2. Jabal, a descendant of Cain, is known as the father of "such as dwell in tents and of such as have cattle."

GENESIS 4:20 " And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle. "

Does this not indicate "social and economic resourcefulness" for the improvement of life, which the "serpents" are noted for as our Lord Jesus Christ directed His Disciples to observe?

Matt. 10:16 " Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. "

3. Jubal, the brother of Jabal, was the father of all "such as handle the harp and organ." Does this not signify the love for the arts that the Natural Men are noted for?

GENESIS 4:21 " And his brother’s name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ. "

4. Tubal-cain, another descendant of Cain, was "an instructor of every artificer in brass and iron." Does this not manifest aptitude for science?

GENESIS 4:22 " And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructor of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah. "

5. Lamech, the father of polygamous practice, appeared to be an eloquent speaker: "Lamech said unto his wives...hear my voice...hearken unto my speech." Elocution is a characteristic also identified with the descendants of Cain.

GENESIS 4:23 "And Lamech said unto his wives...hear my voice...hearken unto my speech..."

These different interests and flair for good earthly living are not evil per se. What is bad is if these become the "spiritual treasures," that people possessing them find no place for the "things of God" in their hearts.

LUKE 12:34 "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DESCENDANTS OF CAIN

As the descendants of Adam multiplied, so did Cain's. It was at this time in the history of mankind that God saw the intermarriage of the "two distinct kinds of blood."

GENESIS 6:1-2 "And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose."

God through His words will explain everything relating to "original sin."

1. The descendants of Adam were called "sons of God." This is now clearly understandable.

2. The women descendants of Cain were called "daughters of men." Lucifer who was to become Satan was referred to as a man.

EZEKIEL 28:2 "...unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord God; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a god, I sit in the seat of God ... yet thou art a man..."

The prince of Tyrus refers to Lucifer who transformed himself into Satan because of pride. God spoke of him as a manin reference to the Serpent and Cain and his descendants. Thus, the female descendants of Cain were called "daughters of men." To note later are the designation "Natural Man" (1 Cor. 2:14) and "Old Man" (Col. 3:9).

3. It was in the intermarriage of the descendants of Adam and the descendants of Cain that wickedness spread among the people. And God was greatly saddened with what He saw on earth.

GENESIS 6:5 "And God saw the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

4. God mentioned the existence of giants in relation to this intermarriage:

GENESIS 6:4 "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when thesons of God came in unto the daughters of men , and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown ."

The natural man looks at this literally. So he imagines men measuring probably around seven to nine ( 7 to 9 ) feet in height or even higher. Our Lord, however, says that His "words are spirit."

JOHN 6:63 " It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. "

ROMANS 7:14 "For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal… "

As we have seen earlier, Cain's descendants were intellectual "giants" in science and economics, and emotional "giants" in the arts. They excelled in the "things of the world." No wonder our Lord told His Disciples:

Matt. 10:16 " Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents , and harmless as doves. "

Adam's offspring, as sons of God, were never so considered on this aspect of life. This was typified by Jesus Christ Himself, like Adam a " son of God," His apostles, and the early Christians, were all "simple people" in the eyes of the world. It does not mean, though, that the people of God are always materially miserable. Abram, Isaac, Jacob, Job before his trials, Solomon, David , and Daniel in the Old Testament, and Joseph of Arimathea, Matthew, Zaccheus, Nicodemus, among others, in the New Testament, were all materially affluent and were not so intellectually destitute.

GENESIS 13:2 " And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold."

GENESIS 26:12 " Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. 13And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: 14For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him. "

GENESIS 30:42 "… the stronger Jacob’s. 43And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses. "

JOB 1:1-3 " And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters. 3His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east. "
MATTHEW 27:57 "...there came a rich man of Arimathea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple."

HOW THE BLOOD OF CAIN "ADULTERATED" THE WHOLE OF MANKIND

We have seen the intermarriage of the descendants of Adam with the descendants of Cain: "sons of God" marrying the"daughters of men."

GENESIS 6:2 "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose."

But the question is, what is that "starting point" that tainted the whole of mankind with the blood of Cain? After the Great Deluge, the following incident happened pertaining to the family of Noah.

GENESIS 9:18-25 "And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and HAM is the father of CANAAN . These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread." And Noah began to be a husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: and he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And HAM, the father of CANAAN , saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness. And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. And he said, curse be CANAAN ; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren."

This refers to the SEVENTH CLUE in the revelation of the physical sin of Eve. Surprisingly, it was Canaan the son of Ham who was cursed by Noah, instead of Ham himself who committed the sin against his father. Let no opinion of men ever come in the revelation of the truth. God, through His word, explains everything.

1. "Nakedness" to the natural man is the exposure of the body. Therefore, the natural man looks at the sin of Ham as simply seeing the nude body of his father, Noah.

2. However, God says something more than the natural man can see and understand. God is speaking "spiritual things." God explains "seeing the father's nakedness" as:

LEVITICUS 18:8 "The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness."

God says that the nakedness of the husband is actually the "nakedness of the wife." Therefore, the nakedness of Noah was actually the nakedness of MRS. NOAH! The nakedness of Mrs. Noah was the nakedness of the MOTHER of Ham. But again, God reveals things beyond the natural man's "sensual and intellectual comprehension." From the above statement, it would appear that Ham simply saw the nude body of his mother. However, the Holy Bible fully exposed the sin of Ham in:

LEVITICUS 20:11 "And the man that lieth with his father's wife, hath uncovered his father's nakedness..."

DEUTERONOMY 22:30 " A man shall not take his father's wife, nor discover his father's skirt."

What a great sin Ham committed against his father, Noah! Ham had carnal knowledge with his own mother! Ham was guilty of incest with his own mother. Canaan was the fruit of that infidelity .

3. Now the curse of Noah on Canaan has become clear. The curse of Canaan has a spiritual meaning, which will be taken up later.

WHO WAS MRS. NOAH?

The sin of the wife of Noah revealed the "kind of blood" that she had. She was a descendant of the lustful Lamech, (GENESIS 4:19 ) a progeny of Cain, whose adulterous character showed in her! Here is how Jesus Christ described Satan the father of Cain:

John 8:44 " Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do…. "

The wife of Noah must have been fair for she was one of the "daughters of men" who captivated Noah's heart, a son of God.

GENESIS 6:2 "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose."

With the marriage of Noah to his wife, a descendant of Cain, the pure blood of Adam is now "adulterated" through his three sons from whom the whole of mankind originated.

GENESIS 9:18-19 "And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth...these are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread."

It is this "adulteration" of the blood of mankind with the blood of Cain that inspired David to write:

PSALM 51:5 "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me."

This perfectly concurs with what our Lord Jesus Christ told the people:

JOHN 8:44 "Ye are the sons of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do..."

Everybody has the "Cainic blood," both in the Old Testament!

PSALM 53:1-3 "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. God looked down...upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one."

ECCLESIASTES 7:20 "For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not."

And in the New Testament!

ROMANS 3:10-18 "...there is none righteous, no, not one: there is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness...and the way of peace have they not known: there is no fear of God before their eyes."

God stated the truth when He said in:

GENESIS 1:24 "And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind...beast of the earth after his kind."

Take note, how the Bible explains itself. Has anybody realized that God was actually referring to man?

ECCLESIASTES 3:18 "I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts."

The beast, of course, refers to Satan, the Old Serpent, who came up out of the sea:

REVELATION 13:1 "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea..."

"Sea or water" refers to people where John saw the "beast" rising up or coming out from.

REVELATION 17:15 "And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest...are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues."

There is no exception to this. Jesus Christ directed this truth even to His own Disciples:

MATTHEW 7:11 "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children..."

It was only JESUS CHRIST who was not tainted with this "dirty blood" of Cain.

1 PETER 1:19 "But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot."

That is why He kept on telling the people that He is the Son of His Father who is in heaven.

JOHN 8:19 "Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father; if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also."

THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION DOCTRINE

There are some religious sects preaching that, in addition to Jesus, there is one more who was conceived without sin. This is the Immaculate Conception Doctrine pertaining to Mary, the wife of Joseph. It took more than l,800 years to formulate this doctrine. On December 8, 1854 , a religious sect sponsoring this doctrine declared Mary, the virgin mother of Jesus and the wife of Joseph, as being conceived without sin. Here is their explanation:

"The most blessed Virgin Mary, from the first moment of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege of Almighty God, in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, Savior of the human race, was preserved free from all stain of original sin..." (Encyclopedia. Americana., vol. 14, p. 711, l967 Ed.)

On the contrary, Luke wrote that Virgin Mary needed a savior:

LUKE 1:46-47 "And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour."

JESUS AND THE SONS OF NOAH

Noah was a "son of God" by virtue of his pure Adamic blood. His sons by a woman of Cainic descent no longer were considered as such. Jesus, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of Mary with Cainic blood, would appear to be in the same state as the sons of Noah.

MATTHEW 1:18 "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows. When His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit."

Man's notion of conception is the meeting of the sperm of the husband and the egg of the wife to form the fetus. If that were the case, then the birth of Jesus would have been in exactly the same biological state as the birth of the sons of Noah and Mrs. Noah. It is under this circumstance that the woman giving birth to the child is entitled to be called "MOTHER" by the children. In the case of Jesus however, nowhere in the Bible can we find Him addressing Virgin Mary as His mother. He simply called her "woman."

JOHN 2:1-4 "...the mother of Jesus was there: and both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the mariage...And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, they have no wine. Jesus saith unto her , Woman, what have I to do with thee?..."

JOHN 19:26 " When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!"

This supports the conclusion that the birth of Jesus was not in the same biological state as the birth of the sons of Noah. Christ's birth to Mary therefore, cannot be compared with the birth of Shem, Ham, and Japheth to Mrs. Noah. The conclusion that the egg of Mary did not have a role at all in the conception of Jesus is most appropriate. Mary was just a surrogate "mother" of Jesus! Is there anything impossible with God?

SPIRITUAL OVER PHYSICAL RELATIONSHIP

Jesus never treated Mary the way children treat their mother. Instances of seeming lack of respect of Jesus to Mary are recorded.

LUKE 2:42-50 "And when Jesus was twelve years old...and when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem , seeking him. And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple...and when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? ... and he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me?...and they understood not the saying which he spake unto them."

MATTHEW 12:46-48 "While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. The one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to spake with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold, my mother and brethren! For whososever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother."

And to further support the truth, Jesus did the "unthinkable" thing of not meeting Virgin Mary first at His resurrection! It was to Mary Magdalene that this great privilege was given. This is another proof of the truth just presented:

MARK 16:9 "Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene..."

Jesus put a premium on spiritual over the physical relationship. This is expounded in the following incident:

LUKE 11:27-28 "And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou has sucked. But he said, Yea, rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it."

Spiritual things are hidden from the "eyes" of the Natural Man.

1 CORINTHIANS 2:14 " But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. "

Man is greatly influenced by the teachings of men, purportedly the word of God. Falsehood and deception are difficult to detect because Bible verses are cited in support. As a warning, our Lord gave this statement:

MATTHEW 22:29 "Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God."

THE SPIRITUAL MESSAGE OF THE PHYSICAL SIN OF EVE

As in other events that actually happened and are written in the Bible, the physical sin of Eve has its spiritual message. Here is the summary:

1. LEVITICUS 20:16 states "And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death..."

Eve committed this sin. She received the "seeds" of the beast and bore a son by him. The beast actually was Satan.

REVELATION 13:1 " And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea…and upon his heads the name of blasphemy."

The people of the world by virtue thereof, all except one, became the children of the beast. Thus:

ECCLESIASTES 3:18 "I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts."

Paul spoke of fighting with beasts in Ephesus . These were not literal animals, but spiritual beasts. They are the people before they become "spiritual lambs."

1 CORINTHIANS 15:32 " If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me…let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die. "

2. "They shall surely be put to death" is what will happen to the "woman" and to the "beast." Second death for people represented by Eve who refuse the LOVE of God:

REVELATION 21:8 " But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

And the Lake of Fire for the spiritual beast.

REVELATION 20:10 " And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone… "

3. Eve committed the sin of adultery. The Church and the people composing it, represented by Eve, are also guilty of spiritual adultery by accepting the "seeds" of the spiritual serpent -- words other than the Word of truth. This is the reason why the Bible is replete with God's accusation of adultery:

IN THE OLD TESTAMENT:

JEREMIAH 3:8 "And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israelcommitted adultery, I had put her away..."

JEREMIAH 23:10-11 "For the land is full of adulterers...for both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the Lord..."

IN THE NEW TESTAMENT:

MATTHEW 12:39 "But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterousgeneration seeketh after a sign"

MARK 8:38 "Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words, in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed…"

4. Just as Eve committed adultery when she was alone and waiting for Adam, the Church, composed of the Disciples of Christ, committed the sin of spiritual adultery when they were waiting for the Holy Spirit to come.

LUKE 24:49 " And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarryye in the city of Jerusalem , until ye be endued with power from on high . "

THE "WAITING PERIOD"

After the resurrection of Jesus Christ, He showed Himself to His disciples on several occasions. He talked to them and ate with them:

JOHN 21:9-14 "As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread. ...Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord...this is now the third time that Jesus showed himself to his disciples..."

Jesus walked with them:

LUKE 24:13-15 "And behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs. And they talked together of all these things which had happened. And it came to pass, that while they communed together and reasoned, JESUS himself drew near, and went with them."

But Jesus was not fully recognizable by His Disciples.

LUKE 24:16 "But their eyes were holden that they should not know him."

JOHN 21:4 "But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore; but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus."

Then Jesus told them to wait for Him:

LUKE 24:49 "And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem , until ye be endued with power from on high."

Jesus left them:

ACTS 1:11 "...why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same JESUS, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven."

But He promised to come back and to be with them "till the end of the world."

MATTHEW 28:20 "...and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world..."

The foregoing circumstances relating to "Jesus and the Church" transpired physically to "Adam and Eve." The disciples who composed the Church were left behind waiting in the upper room for the Holy Spirit, just as Eve was left "alone waiting" for Adam. It was in that "period of waiting" when "word of man" came to the Disciples' mind. The Disciples representing the Church, before receiving the " word of God " or the "seed" (Luke 8:11 ) from the Holy Spirit , did a "great act" that would later affect the whole of "Christendom." This was exactly what happened to Eve, while she was waiting for Adam, she did a "great act" that would later "adulterate" the whole of mankind.

It was at that time when the Church/Disciples accepted the "seeds" of human wisdom, and elected MATTHIAS as replacement for Judas Iscariot.

Acts 1:16 " And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,) 16Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth ofDavid spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus. 17For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry. 18Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. … 20For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishopric let another take. 21Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection. 23And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. 24And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, show whether of these two thou hast chosen, 25That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. 26And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; andhe was numbered with the eleven apostles." This act of the Apostles appointing a fellow Apostle "adulterated" the whole of Christendom Today. They opened the gates to the doctrine of Apostolic Succession that is followed by every religious sect that composes Christianity today. The doctrine of appointing "Christ's apostles" is the "evil seed" accepted by spiritual Eve -- the "church." In much broader sense, the "church" is the "Christian religion" and the religious sects and denominations composing it. For details of this great blunder committed by the Apostles read:

Is not CHRIST alone who is the sole authority to appoint God's servants?

Eph. 4:11 " And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers."

Jesus Christ in His physical absence demonstrated this power when He appointed Paul, formerly known as Saul of Tarsus. Jesus Christ taught him and not any man:

Rom. 1:1 " Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God. "

Gal. 1:11 " But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. "

5. Eve was guilty of mating with a non-human:

LEVITICUS 19:19 "Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woolen come upon thee."

The Church, symbolized by Eve, should never "mate" with the spiritual beast. She should not receive the "seeds of God" and the "seeds of the spiritual beast" at the same time. The spiritual beast is Satan, the Old Serpent. The Church should not "mate" with Satan by accepting the things that are not in line with the truth in the word of God. Satan is the father of falsehood and lies, both physically and spiritually.

JOHN 8:44 "Ye are of your father the devil...he was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own; for he is a liar, and the father of it."

The Church should only receive the "seeds of truth," a sign of faithfulness to the spiritual husband. The spiritual husband is God!

ISAIAH 54:5 "For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name..."

The "seeds of unfaithfulness" are the condemned human wisdom, religious traditions, philosophy, and human precepts:

COLOSSIANS 2:8 " Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy…after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. "

1 CORINTHIANS 2:19 " For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21For after that…the world by wisdom knew not God, "

ISAIAH 29:13 " Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: 14Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid. "

6. Eve did not exactly admit her guilt. She denied it.

GENESIS 3:13 "And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? and the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat."

Can the Church, the spiritual Eve, and in the narrower sense the individual person (1 Cor. 3:16 ), admit "her" guilt of accepting the "seeds of falsehood and deception that did not come from the "spiritual husband?"

7. Eve finally admitted her sin by accepting the "coat of skin" offered by God. She willingly discarded the "apron of fig leaves" to cover her spiritual nakedness. Will the spiritual Eve, or the Church, now narrowed down to the individual, similarly accept the "coat of skin" which symbolizes the death of the spiritual Lamb on the cross? Will the spiritual Eve willingly discard the "ways and teachings of  men" in covering "her" spiritual nakedness? This is discussed under: Nakedness after the Fall, and Covering One's Nakedness.

THE "SIN" OF ADAM

Adam is the perfect type for Jesus Christ. In fact, Jesus Christ is called the last Adam.

1 Cor. 15:45 " And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. "

As Adam was first created, so Jesus Christ is the "first born."

Col. 1:14 "I n whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. "

Eve is the perfect type for the Church. Eve was taken from the "side" of Adam.

GENESIS 2:21-22 "And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon "Adam, and he slept; and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof. And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man."

So is the Church, and in the narrower sense the individual believer, is taken from the "side" of Jesus Christ.

JOHN 19:34 "And one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water."

"Blood" symbolizes the Holy Spirit as the shedding of blood on the cross gave way to the availability of the Holy Spirit. "Water" symbolizes the word of God:

Eph. 5:26 " That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word."

Of "blood and water" or "Spirit and water," is the spiritual woman, the Church, or the individual believer is formed.

JOHN 3:5 "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

All human beings are physically tainted with the "blood of the Serpent." This is "washed by the blood of the Lamb" transforming a Natural Man into a Spiritual Man upon being truly "born again" (John 3:3):

THE NATURAL MAN:

1 Cor. 2:14 " But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. "

THE SPIRITUAL MAN:

1 Cor. 2:16 " For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. "

THE "CURSE" ON ADAM

Adam was not deceived by the devil. It was Eve who was deceived:

1 TIMOTHY 2:14 "And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression."

So did Jesus Christ never commit sin. His "participation" in all these mesh about sin is caused solely by His extreme love for the "wife / Church / individual believer." That is why He is called LOVE. Just as Adam suffered the consequences of the sin, so did Jesus carry the "punishment" on the cross:

GENESIS 3:17 " And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, …of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee…"

By this time, man should have erased the wrong notion that the sin of Adam was that of having carnal knowledge with Eve. The "sin" of Adam was the acceptance of his wife, in spite of her having been defiled:

DEUTERONOMY 24:1-4 "When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favor in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. and when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife. And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife; her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the Lord..."

The foregoing applied to Adam and he symbolizes Jesus Christ. The only "sin" of Adam therefore was to take back his defiled wife. Adam was "guilty" of too much love for his wife. Can we not see the same in JESUS CHRIST? Did He not also take His spiritually defiled wife, the Church -- in the narrower sense, the individual believer -- with "her" spiritual adultery? Is there anybody who can say that the "wife" is not defiled as God accuses "her" in:

MARK 8:38 "...this adulterous and sinful generation..."

PSALM 53:3 "Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one."

ROMANS 3:10-12 "...there is none righteous, no, not one: there is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one."

Like Adam taking back his "defiled wife," JESUS CHRIST in spite of the uncleanness of His "wife / church / individual believer" is offering to take "her" back. This is the reason why God is called "LOVE."

1 JOHN 4:8 "...God is love."

Adam suffered the consequences of the sin of his wife. There are many messages here. Following are some of them:

1. "Hast eaten of the tree" - Adam "ate his feeling" in taking back his adulterous wife. He stooped to the very "low level" of his sinful wife. This is shown in Jesus Christ, the spiritual Adam:

PHILIPPIANS 2:6-7 "Who being in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself..." (NIV)

Jesus Christ, like the "lowly Church," in the narrower sense the individual believer, had stooped very low as to say and do:

JOHN 5:19 "Then answered Jesus...Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself..."

In this "low state" Jesus did not admit that He is good:

LUKE 18:19 "And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God."

2. "Cursed is the ground for thy sake" - The "ground" is cursed because of the "sin" of Adam. Ground symbolizes man.

PSALM 103:14 "For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust."

JEREMIAH 22:29 "O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the Lord."

Jesus Christ took the form of a man. He had to suffer the pains of a man, the cursed "spiritual ground." That is why Jesus Christ felt the ache of the torture and the anguish for the mockery, that man could feel every imaginable suffering.

3. "Thorns and thistles shall it bring forth to thee" - This calls to mind the crown of thorns forced on the head of our Lord at His crucifixion. All this agony the Lord carried on His shoulders. His only "sin" is that of taking "His defiled Eve."

1 PETER 2:24 "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."

THE CURSE ON EVE

For her sin, Eve was cursed to suffer:

GENESIS 3:16 "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

Literally, the natural man will relate this to the pain in physical conception and childbirth. But how untenable this understanding is. Why do animals suffer the same pain as women if that is so? By this time, we should have learned to appreciate the "spiritual language" as applied to the Word of God.

God is actually referring to spiritual childbirth, or the delivery of the spiritual fruit(s). The spiritual Eve is the Church, more particularly, the individual believer. The spiritual Adam is Jesus Christ. He is the Holy Spirit (2 Cor. 3:17). Just as Adam and Eve were commanded to "be fruitful and multiply," so are the spiritual Adam and Eve representing the real believer and "her" husband, the Holy Spirit.

ROMANS 7:4 "...my brethren...ye should be married...even to him who is raised from  the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God."

"Child-bearing" refers to the "delivery" of the fruit(s) of the Spirit:

Gal 5:22 " But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. "

The spiritual Eve therefore must "conceive" and must give "birth to this fruit(s). It should be pointed out that this fruit should be born out of the "union" between the spiritual Eve, the individual believer; and the spiritual Adam, actually the Holy Spirit.

A warning is very appropriate here. The spiritual Eve can also bear this fruit(s) with "another" other than the Holy Spirit, in the same manner that the real Eve bore Cain by "another" other than Adam. In other words, the fruit of love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance, can be "born out of wedlock" from the Holy Spirit. They could be "fathered by man" becoming counterfeit "children" as Cain was, by the Serpent, actually Satan. Through psychology, mind conditioning, self-discipline, and good human relations, these spiritual "children" may appear real, as Cain looked like Abel, the real son of Adam.

Real "children or fruit(s)" of the Holy Spirit to the spiritual Eve will really make "conception and childbirth" very "painful" to the "woman." These "children or fruit(s)" are conceived and born out of trials, and hardship, as Bible characters were made to demonstrate. Was there any chosen man of God who had not suffered "conceiving and delivering" the "child," or the fruit(s) of the Holy Spirit?

Zech. 13:9 " And I will…refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. "

Take one example of the fruit(s). Can the spiritual "child" or the fruit of LOVE be born without experiencing birth pains? Love, according to the understanding of the natural man, can be bought with money - by contributing to charities, using psychology, etc. It can be "fathered" by man's own capability, as stated earlier, through mind conditioning, self-discipline. This is the equivalent of Cain's produce coming from the ground, where "ground" symbolizes man.

GENESIS 4:3 "And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord."

The real spiritual "child" or the fruit of LOVE can only be born with spiritual birth pains, and "fathered" by the Holy Spirit:

1 JOHN 3:16 "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren."

The natural man again will err in thinking that "dying for one's brethren" means physical martyrdom. No wonder, religious sects take pride in the physical martyrdom of their "respective saints." But offering one's life is the "death of old self" or the gradual demise of the "old man" in the real believer. Paul expressed this kind of "death."

1 CORINTHIANS 15:31 "...I die daily."

COL.. 3:9 " Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; "

Dying daily cannot be literal-physical! Otherwise, Paul would have been thought to be suffering from cancer or some other incurable disease. The "old man" in man is human rationality in spiritual matters that should "die daily."

ROMANS 6:6 "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin."

EPHESIANS 4:22 "That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts...and be renewed...that ye put on the new man which after God is created..."

The "old man" in man must die in order to give way to the "new man" as a Spiritual Man (1 Cor. 2:16 ). This is what is meant by "to lay down our life for the brethren" in:

1 John 3:16 " Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. "

BIRTH PAINS

GENESIS 3:16 " Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

The "curse" for sorrow in conception and pain in the delivery refer to the fruit(s) of the Spirit. None of the fruit(s) will ever be "born" without trials, tests, and sufferings. It is with these spiritual revelations of God that Paul's letter to Timothy is fully understood:

1 TIMOTHY 2:15 "Nothwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing..."

Literally, how could simply giving birth to a physical child save a woman? For the spiritual woman to be saved, she has to suffer the birth pains for the delivery of "her spiritual children," referring to the nine fruit(s) of the Holy Spirit. This was already revealed even in the Old Testament:

MICAH 4:10 "Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, O daughter of Zion , like a woman in travail...even to Babylon ; there shalt thou be delivered; there the Lord shall redeem thee..."

Salvation is the great joy of looking at the newly born spiritual "baby." These "are" the fruit(s) of the Spirit. Jesus Christ exhorted His chosen with:

JOHN 16:21 -22 "A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for the joy that a man is born into the world. And ye now therefore have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you."

Stated in another way, like Jesus Christ the man as model, the individual believer has to walk through his own spiritual Calvary . He has to be nailed on the spiritual cross, and die a spiritual "death of old self."

GALATIANS 2:20 " I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. "

All these things have been hidden in spiritual Babylon , the sinful world whose god is Satan:

2 CORINTHIANS 4:4 "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

CONCLUSION

Adam suffered the consequences of the sin of his wife. Jesus Christ suffered the consequences of the sin of the Church, referring to the individual person. It is for this sublime love of Jesus Christ for the Church, that God is called LOVE. It was with "blood" that Eve was defiled. It must be with "blood" that God must restore all things

HEBREW 9:18 "Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood."

HEBREW 9:22 "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission."

Everything is now history. Adam and Eve were driven out of the Garden of Eden so are their suffering. Jesus Christ suffered, and the Church is suffering. The Lamb died on the cross to make ready the "coat of skin." Adam and Eve accepted the "coats of skin." Will the READER of this article be likened unto Eve who discarded the "apron of leaves" and accepted the "coat of skin?" The "coat of skin" is the "garment of salvation," so that "her" spiritual nakedness will be fully covered.

ISAIAH 61:10 " I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels."

PSALM 32:1 "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered."
