Most Excruciating and Lengthiest Suffering of Jesus Christ
Introduction
We learn from this article how Jesus Christ cherishes "a debt of gratitude more than counting the blessings" from Him. Illustration, the story of Mary Magdalene.
Matthew 26:13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
Simon the Pharisee invited Jesus Christ to his house:
Luke 7:38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. 39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner. 40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
This is how our Lord expounded His message:
Luke 7:41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. 42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? 43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
Luke 7:47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
In the beginning
Everybody knows, in the beginning GOD was alone. With all His glory, splendor and grandeur, He needed a companion. So, He planned to build His "Eternal Kingdom". He created man, but his FALL was inevitable that God "closed the door of heaven", so to speak. But GOD had "to reopen this door" to pursue His original and wondrous plan.
Now, why is there a need for JESUS CHRIST to suffer? Who is He? Overlooked by many Christians, He is actually "FATHER God in the flesh" by virtue of the "testament of salvation". He made in Genesis 17:7. This testament required the maker or testator of His own death":
Hebrews 9:16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
Thus, the need for FATHER God to take the body of a man:
1 Timothy 3:16 KJV 1611 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles...
(Other Bible translations substituted "God" with "Jesus Christ", or He, and in the Catholic Confraternity Douay version no mention at all.)
In His "human body", therefore, JESUS CHRIST had to take two (2) roles, by "divine revelation":
Primary role - as revealed in many verses. Example:
John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
Very clear in this role:
- JESUS is the God, also known as the “God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob”
- JESUS is the creator
- JESUS is the savior, the Christ
- JESUS is the one performing miracles
- JESUS solely deserves worship
Secondary role - as revealed in many verses. Example:
Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Luke 18:19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
Very clear in this role:
- Jesus is just the “Son of God”, model in “humility” to the “chosen”.
- Jesus cannot be the savior
- Jesus cannot perform miracles
- Jesus does not deserve worship
The foregoing can be easily demonstrated in the following:
A certain man is the HUSBAND of his wife, and FATHER of his daughter. His two roles are clearly distinguished and cannot be interchanged.
The foregoing illustration is a perfect reconciliation of the following truth about the claim of FATHER God, and the attestation of JESUS CHRIST Apostles and Disciples:
IN THE OLD TESTAMENT
- Isa 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
- Isa 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
IN THE NEW TESTAMENT
- Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
- Luke 1:47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
- Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
The Apostles and Disciples conclude:
- 1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
JESUS CHRIST confirmed the foregoing!
- John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
CRUCIFIXION
“Christ most excruciating suffering”
We all read it was JESUS the "Son of God" that was crucified on the cross. However, from the clear identification of JESUS CHRIST as earlier expounded, it must have been the FATHER in fulfilling His "testament of salvation". This is the great parable in the word of God that it needs divine revelation. And so we read:
Mark 4:34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.
Who can unravel this "great mystery" of Jesus the Son speaking, but actually the FATHER was the one suffering on the cross? The clue is heard from Paul, saying:
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Very clear this is not literal-physical, but "spiritual crucifixion" of Jesus the Son. How and why? For Jesus the Son to be a "perfect model in humility", He had to "accept and carry" the following:
Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
This is the "heavy burden" when we find Him in the Garden of Gethsemane praying to the Father - for what? It was not for carring the heavy cross, but the supreme sacrifice of "carrying the PRIDE of man" to be a perfect model in "spiritual humility". This was too much for Jesus the Son that finally we heard Him, saying:
Matthew 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
With humility, "carrying the PRIDE of man", it was made easy for the "son JESUS" because of "love for His brethren", He being our example:
1 Corinthians 15:31 ...Lord, I die daily.1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
THE PHYSICAL CRUCIFIXION OF
JESUS CHRIST OUR FATHER
(Quotes from Wikipedia)
I believe the description of Dr. C. Truman Davis very well described it. About a decade ago, reading Jim Bishop's The Day Christ Died, I realized that I had for years taken the Crucifixion more or less for granted --- that I had grown callous to its horror by a too easy familiarity with the grim details and a too distant friendship with our Lord. It finally occurred to me that, though a physician, I didn't even know the actual immediate cause of death. The Gospel writers don't help us much on this point, because crucifixion and scourging were so common during their lifetime that they apparently considered a detailed description unnecessary.
So we have only the concise words of the Evangelists: "Pilate, having scourged Jesus, delivered Him to people to be crucified --- and they crucified Him." I have no competence to discuss the infinite psychic and spiritual suffering of the Incarnate God atoning for the sins of fallen man. But it seemed to me that as a physician I might pursue the physiological and anatomical aspects of our Lord's passion in some detail.
What did the body of Jesus of Nazareth actually endure during those hours of torture?
This led me first to a study of the practice of crucifixion itself; that is, torture and execution by fixation to a cross. I am indebted to many who have studied this subject in the past, and especially to a contemporary colleague, Dr. Pierre Barbet, a French surgeon who has done exhaustive historical and experimental research and has written extensively on the subject.
Apparently, the first known practice of crucifixion was by the Persians. Alexander and his generals brought it back to the Mediterranean world --- to Egypt and to Carthage. The Romans apparently learned the practice from the Carthaginians and (as with almost everything the Romans did) rapidly developed a very high degree of efficiency and skill at it. A number of Roman authors (Livy, Cicero, Tacitus) comment on crucifixion, and several innovations, modifications, and variations are described in the ancient literature. For instance, the upright portion of the cross (or stipes) could have the cross-arm (or patibulum) attached two or three feet below its top in what we commonly think of as the Latin cross. The most common form used in our Lord's day, however, was the Tau cross, shaped like our T.
In this cross, the patibulum was placed in a notch at the top of the stipes. There is archeological evidence that it was on this type of cross that Jesus was crucified. Without any historical or biblical proof, Medieval and Renaissance painters have given us our picture of Christ carrying the entire cross. But the upright post, or stipes, was generally fixed permanently in the ground at the site of execution and the condemned man was forced to carry the patibulum, weighing about 110 pounds, from the prison to the place of execution.
Many of the painters and most of the sculptors of crucifixion, also show the nails through the palms. Historical Roman accounts and experimental work have established that the nails were driven between the small bones of the wrists (radial and ulna) and not through the palms. Nails driven through the palms will strip out between the fingers when made to support the weight of the human body. The misconception may have come about through a misunderstanding of Jesus' words to Thomas, "Observe my hands." Anatomists, both modern and ancient, have always considered the wrist as part of the hand.
A titulus, or small sign, stating the victim's crime was usually placed on a staff, carried at the front of the procession from the prison, and later nailed to the cross so that it extended above the head. This sign with its staff nailed to the top of the cross would have given it somewhat the characteristic form of the Latin cross.
After the arrest in the middle of the night, Jesus was next brought before the Sanhedrin and Caiphus, the High Priest; it is here that the first physical trauma was inflicted. A soldier struck Jesus across the face for remaining silent when questioned by Caiphus. The palace guards then blind-folded Him and mockingly taunted Him to identify them as they each passed by, spat upon Him, and struck Him in the face.
In the early morning, battered and bruised, dehydrated, and exhausted from a sleepless night, Jesus is taken across the Praetorium of the Fortress Antonia, the seat of government of the Procurator of Judea, Pontius Pilate. You are, of course, familiar with Pilate's action in attempting to pass responsibility to Herod Antipas, the Tetrarch of Judea. Jesus apparently suffered no physical mistreatment at the hands of Herod and was returned to Pilate.
It was then, in response to the cries of the mob, that Pilate ordered Bar-Abbas released and condemned Jesus to scourging and crucifixion. Many scholars believe that Pilate originally ordered Jesus scourged as his full punishment and that the death sentence by crucifixion came only in response to the taunt by the mob that the Procurator was not properly defending Caesar against this pretender who allegedly claimed to be the King of the Jews. Preparations for the scourging were carried out when the Prisoner was stripped of His clothing and His hands tied to a post above His head. The Roman legionnaire steps forward with the flagrum (or flagellum) in his hand. This is a short whip consisting of several heavy, leather thongs with two small balls of lead attached near the ends of each. The heavy whip is brought down with full force again and again across Jesus' shoulders, back, and legs.
At first the thongs cut through the skin only. Then, as the blows continue, they cut deeper into the subcutaneous tissues, producing first an oozing of blood from the capillaries and veins of the skin, and finally spurting arterial bleeding from vessels in the underlying muscles. The small balls of lead first produce large, deep bruises which are broken open by subsequent blows. Finally the skin of the back is hanging in long ribbons and the entire area is an unrecognizable mass of torn, bleeding tissue. When it is determined by the centurion in charge that the prisoner is near death, the beating is finally stopped. The half-fainting Jesus is then untied and allowed to slump to the stone pavement, wet with His own blood.
The Roman soldiers see a great joke in this provincial Jew claiming to be king. They throw a robe across His shoulders and place a stick in His hand for a scepter. They still need a crown to make their travesty complete. Flexible branches covered with long thorns (commonly used in bundles for firewood) are plaited into the shape of a crown and this is pressed into His scalp. Again there is copious bleeding, the scalp being one of the most vascular areas of the body.
After mocking Him and striking Him across the face, the soldiers take the stick from His hand and strike Him across the head, driving the thorns deeper into His scalp. Finally, they tire of their sadistic sport and the robe is torn from His back. Already having adhered to the clots of blood and serum in the wounds, its removal causes excruciating pain just as in the careless removal of a surgical bandage, and almost as though He were again being whipped the wounds once more begin to bleed. In deference to Jewish custom, the Romans return His garments. The heavy patibulum of the cross is tied across His shoulders, and the procession of the condemned Christ, two thieves, and the execution detail of Roman soldiers headed by a centurion begins its slow journey along the Via Dolorosa.
In spite of His efforts to walk erect, the weight of the heavy wooden beam, together with the shock produced by copious blood loss, is too much. He stumbles and falls. The rough wood of the beam gouges into the lacerated skin and muscles of the shoulders. He tries to rise, but human muscles have been pushed beyond their endurance. The centurion, anxious to get on with the crucifixion, selects a stalwart North African onlooker, Simon of Cyrene, to carry the cross. Jesus follows, still bleeding and sweating the cold, clammy sweat of shock, until the 650 yard journey from the fortress Antonia to Golgotha is finally completed. Jesus is offered wine mixed with myrrh, a mild analgesic mixture. He refuses to drink. Simon is ordered to place the patibulum on the ground and Jesus quickly thrown backward with His shoulders against the wood. The legionnaire feels for the depression at the front of the wrist. He drives a heavy, square, wrought-iron nail through the wrist and deep into the wood. Quickly, he moves to the other side and repeats the action, being careful not to pull the arms to tightly, but to allow some flexion and movement. The patibulum is then lifted in place at the top of the stipes and the titulus reading, "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews" is nailed in place.
The left foot is now pressed backward against the right foot, and with both feet extended, toes down, a nail is driven through the arch of each, leaving the knees moderately flexed. The Victim is now crucified. As He slowly sags down with more weight on the nails in the wrists, excruciating pain shoots along the fingers and up the arms to explode in the brain --- the nails in the wrists are putting pressure on the median nerves.
As He pushes Himself upward to avoid this stretching torment, He places His full weight on the nail through His feet. Again there is the searing agony of the nail tearing through the nerves between the metatarsal bones of the feet. At this point, as the arms fatigue, great waves of cramps sweep over the muscles, knotting them in deep, relentless, throbbing pain. With these cramps comes the inability to push Himself upward. Hanging by his arms, the pectoral muscles are paralyzed and the intercostal muscles are unable to act. Air can be drawn into the lungs, but cannot be exhaled. Jesus fights to raise Himself in order to get even one short breath. Finally, carbon dioxide builds up in the lungs and in the blood stream and the cramps partially subside. Spasmodically, he is able to push Himself upward to exhale and bring in the life-giving oxygen.
It was undoubtedly during these periods that He uttered the seven short sentences recorded:
The first, looking down at the Roman soldiers throwing dice for His seamless garment, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do."
The second, to the penitent thief, "Today thou shalt be with me in Paradise."
The third, looking down at the terrified, grief-stricken adolescent John --- the beloved Apostle --- he said, "Behold thy mother." Then, looking to His mother Mary, "Woman behold thy son."
The fourth cry is from the beginning of the 22nd Psalm, "My God, my God, why has thou forsaken me?"
Jesus experienced hours of limitless pain, cycles of twisting, joint-rending cramps, intermittent partial asphyxiation, searing pain where tissue is torn from His lacerated back as He moves up and down against the rough timber. Then another agony begins - a terrible crushing pain deep in the chest as the pericardium slowly fills with serum and begins to compress the heart. One remembers again the 22nd Psalm, the 14th verse: I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels."
It is now almost over. The loss of tissue fluids has reached a critical level; the compressed heart is struggling to pump heavy, thick, sluggish blood into the tissue; the tortured lungs are making a frantic effort to gasp in small gulps of air. The markedly dehydrated tissues send their flood of stimuli to the brain. Jesus gasps His fifth cry, "I thirst." One remembers another verse from the prophetic 22nd Psalm: "My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou has brought me into the dust of death." A sponge soaked in posca, the cheap, sour wine which is the staple drink of the Roman legionaries, is lifted to His lips. He apparently doesn't take any of the liquid.
The body of Jesus is now in extremes, and He can feel the chill of death creeping through His tissues. This realization brings out His sixth words, possibly little more than a tortured whisper, "It is finished." His mission of atonement has completed. Finally He can allow his body to die.
With one last surge of strength, he once again presses His torn feet against the nail, straightens His legs, takes a deeper breath, and utters His seventh and last cry, "Father! Into thy hands I commit my spirit."
The rest you know. In order that the Sabbath not be profaned, the Jews asked that the condemned men be dispatched and removed from the crosses. The common method of ending a crucifixion was by crurifracture, the breaking of the bones of the legs. This prevented the victim from pushing himself upward; thus the tension could not be relieved from the muscles of the chest and rapid suffocation occurred. The legs of the two thieves were broken, but when the soldiers came to Jesus they saw that this was unnecessary.
Apparently, to make doubly sure of death, the legionnaire drove his lance through the fifth interspace between the ribs, upward through the pericardium and into the heart. The 34th verse of the 19th chapter of the Gospel according to St. John reports: "And immediately there came out blood and water." That is, there was an escape of water fluid from the sac surrounding the heart, giving postmortem evidence that Our Lord died not the usual crucifixion death by suffocation, but of heart failure (a broken heart) due to shock and constriction of the heart by fluid in the pericardium. The "literal-physical" crucifixion of
JESUS CHRIST, our Father, serves us well counting our
"deepest debt of gratitude" for His most "excruciating suffering"!
The SACRED SCRIPTURES
The BIBLE was given to us "authored by God, a spirit"; but it is written in the respective "language of the readers". We read in many verses that God is speaking in parables and so the need to know His "intended message" for the salvation of the SOUL. However, man's perception is limited to the benefit of the BODY. This results in the different interpretations causing proliferation of sects and denominations of the CHRISTIAN religion.
Three (3) inferences of the words of the Bible.
First - The "letter" or literal meaning of the word, from this MAN learns lessons on morality for "physical life".
Second - The "physical" to become a reality, to see how God formed MAN and everything related to his earthly existence.
Third - The "spiritual" or the "intended message" of God by "divine revelation", this is to benefit the SOUL to fulfill God's building His Eternal Kingdom.
From the "letter" or literal word is CREATION theology. Actually this is just a plan or "blueprint" of God. Evidence shows what is written are just "symbols or representations".
Examples:
· Adam and Eve were not men as we are today. It is clear in the Bible they only represent characters, for God's specific message and purpose.
· The Great Deluge could not have happened "literally-physically" for the following reasons:
NOAH and his family in the Ark, together with all animals including a pair of elephants. Just thinking of the male drinking 1 drum and the female ½ drum of water per day, according to Circus people, for a period of 10 months they should have consumed 450 drums of water. What kind of container did Noah use considering iron was not yet used at that time? The Ark was floating for 10 months (Genesis 8:5). Could this have happened "physically"?
· Gideon with his 300 men overwhelmed 135,000 Midianites (Judges 8), or 450 enemies for every man. Could this have happened "physically"?
· Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego were put in a furnace by King Nebuchadnezzar. The furnace was heated 7 times normal and together with a "4th man" not even their clothes were burned (Daniel 3-4). Could this have happened "physically"?
· Imagine in the following if this have happened "physically" to prophet Elijah!
2 Kings 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
Can any sane person now believe there are horses and a chariot in heaven?
Very clear, therefore, things we read in the Bible are just PLANS or ideas of God, now known as CREATION awaiting implementation. It is likened to a graphic presentation of an Architect and Engineer for a magnificent edifice, but it is yet to be constructed.
NOW the slowest and lengthiest
suffering of JESUS CHRIST, our Father
EVOLUTION
The “physical” realization
(Quotes from Wikipedia)
From the book of Genesis when God created the earth, it is now around 4.54 ± 0.05 billion years (4.54 x 109 years ± 1%). This dating is based on evidence from radiometric age dating of meteorite material and is consistent with the radiometric ages of the oldest-known terrestrial and lunar samples. This is based on the Development of modern geologic, early calculations and Radiometric dating. (quotes from Wikipedia)
EVOLUTION progresses billions of years growing like an imaginary "tree". With the application and interaction of scientific processes of (a) comparative anatomy, (b) embryology and development, (c) fossils record, (d) DNA comparison, and other means, EVOLUTION results in "Natural selection". As simple illustration, progenies or scions of superior characteristics keeps on improving, while the "inferior remains as branches", and "sub-branches, and so on only GOD knows. A clear illustration refuting EVOLUTION is, "if man came from an orangutan, why are there still monkeys today?" Orangutan and monkeys remain "simple branches" as God wills it. But at the top of the imaginary tree, suddenly MAN appears as God gave him a SOUL whose attributes are the "intellect and feeling" (Genesis 2:7).
The EVOLUTION tree
Basic sample for skeletal feature:
- dinosaur for giraffe
- frog for man
Very clear in the "evolution tree", God waited billions of years in CREATING man.
The first fossils of early modern humans to be identified were found in 1868 in the 27,000-23,000 BCE Cro-Magnon rock shelter site near the village of Les Eyzies in southwestern France. They were subsequently named the Cro-Magnon people.
They were very similar in appearance to modern Europeans. Males were 5 feet 4 inches to 6 feet tall (1.6-1.8 m.) That was 4-12 inches (10-31 cm.) taller than Neandertals. Their skeletons and musculature generally were less massive than the Neandertals. The Cro-Magnon had broad, small faces with pointed chins and high foreheads. Their cranial capacities were up to 1590 cm3, which is relatively large even for people today.
Around 200,000 years ago, Homo sapiens first appeared in East Africa. It is unclear to what extent these early modern humans had developed language, music, religion etc. They spread throughout Africaapproximately 50,000 years ago from which all modern humans are descended.
Around 80-100,000 years ago, three main lines of Homo sapiens diverged, bearers of mitochondrial haplogroup L1 (mtDNA) / A (Y-DNA) colonizing Southern Africa (the ancestors of the Khoisan/Capoidpeoples), bearers of haplogroup L2 (mtDNA)/ B (Y-DNA) settling Central and West Africa (the ancestors of Niger-Congo and Nilo-Saharan speaking peoples), while the bearers of haplogroup L3 remained in East Africa.
Improvement of intelligence
The first City
The fact that MAN began building cities and engaged in wars, these are the sign that they have the "intellect and feeling" we have today, the attributes of the SOUL. The city of Eridu, close to Uruk, was considered the first city in the world in the year 3700 BCE to 2800 BCE.
The first War
Throughout history, individuals, states, or political factions have gained sovereignty over regions through the use of war. The history of one of the earliest civilizations in the world, that of Mesopotamia, is a chronicle of nearly constant strife. Even after Sargon the Great of Akkad (2334-2279 BCE) unified the region under the Akkadian Empire.
The foregoing very clearly shows MAN at that time acquired "intellect and feeling", the attributes of our SOUL. Therefore, what we read in the Holy Bible how God "created MAN" which is just expressed in the "letter" now becomes "physical", a reality. Only GOD knows the exact time in "split-second" the following for an animal become a human being:
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Therefore, very clear in the foregoing, for God's CREATION to be fulfilled "physically", He allowed EVOLUTION to take its course for us to see God's patience in waiting.
GOD BEGAN BUILDING HIS ETERNAL KINGDOM
The foregoing clearly shows MAN acquired his "God-given SOUL" whose attributes are the "intellect and feeling". To the Architect and Engineer this is the start of construction. The "blueprint" now to become a real edifice.
To God this is "billions of years of waiting" for the "blueprint to become a reality". For a start, God revealed His words to MOSES who live 1,393 - 1,273 BCE (Before Christ Era). He wrote the first five (5) books of the sixty six (66) books of the Old Testament Bible.
Very clear actual "Spiritual construction" began only with the birth of JESUS CHRIST. With His Disciples He revealed this great "mystery of the period of construction" within which to complete His Heavenly Kingdom.
Evangelism
John 4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
Let us see if this is related to what Daniel wrote.
The Time of the End
It is not the purpose of this article to delve on the details of the message:
Dan 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Dan 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
Dan 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Dan 12:5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
Dan 12:6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
Dan 12:7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that IT SHALL BE FOR A TIME, TIMES, AND AN HALF; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
Dan 12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
Dan 12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
Dan 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
Dan 12:13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
Could this period 1,393 - 1,273 BCE just "God's preparation for the spiritual construction of His Eternal Kingdom? Therefore, from hereon began EVANGELISM!
John 4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
Something to think about
Could this be a simple product of the mind or a prophesy that serves as warning?
"time" equivalent to - 1000 years / 1st phase
"times" equivalent to - 2000 years / 2nd phase
"half" equivalent to - 500 years / 3rd phase
Could "spiritual construction" end in the year 3500?
"Our time" is 2017
Will CHRIST still wait for another 1,483 years?
If so, could this period be for Evangelism of BIBLICAL Christianity?
Christianity Today may simply be classified as "SEMI-BIBLICAL" since it is divided into innumerable groups, called sects and denominations, and surprisingly each claims preaching the "real Gospel".
To conclude:
The end of JESUS CHRIST slowest and lengthiest suffering takes Him more than 4 billion years of waiting in establishing His Eternal Kingdom.
